Fernando <span class="vocab-tooltip" fb-tooltip="true" fb-tooltip-message="had no desire at all to" fb-tooltip-position="top" fb-tooltip-theme="dark" fb-tooltip-animation="shift-away" fb-tooltip-show-delay="100" fb-tooltip-arrow="rounded">no tenía ningunas ganas de</span> ir, pero Ana <span class="vocab-tooltip" fb-tooltip="true" fb-tooltip-message="insisted" fb-tooltip-position="top" fb-tooltip-theme="dark" fb-tooltip-animation="shift-away" fb-tooltip-show-delay="100" fb-tooltip-arrow="rounded">insistió</span> <span class="vocab-tooltip" fb-tooltip="true" fb-tooltip-message="so much that" fb-tooltip-position="top" fb-tooltip-theme="dark" fb-tooltip-animation="shift-away" fb-tooltip-show-delay="100" fb-tooltip-arrow="rounded">tanto que</span> al final aceptó.
—¿Ballet? ¿Por qué no invitaste a Elena? A ella sí le gusta esto.
—<span class="vocab-tooltip" fb-tooltip="true" fb-tooltip-message="Shh, it’s about to start" fb-tooltip-position="top" fb-tooltip-theme="dark" fb-tooltip-animation="shift-away" fb-tooltip-show-delay="100" fb-tooltip-arrow="rounded">Calla, que va a empezar</span> —dijo Ana sonriendo.
Varios grupos de bailarines salieron al escenario. Fernando miraba sin <span class="vocab-tooltip" fb-tooltip="true" fb-tooltip-message="paying much attention" fb-tooltip-position="top" fb-tooltip-theme="dark" fb-tooltip-animation="shift-away" fb-tooltip-show-delay="100" fb-tooltip-arrow="rounded">prestar mucha atención</span>.

No podía creerlo. <span class="vocab-tooltip" fb-tooltip="true" fb-tooltip-message="What was he doing there?" fb-tooltip-position="top" fb-tooltip-theme="dark" fb-tooltip-animation="shift-away" fb-tooltip-show-delay="100" fb-tooltip-arrow="rounded">¿Qué hacía él allí?</span>

Fernando caminó hacia ella y la abrazó <span class="vocab-tooltip" fb-tooltip="true" fb-tooltip-message="without letting her finish" fb-tooltip-position="top" fb-tooltip-theme="dark" fb-tooltip-animation="shift-away" fb-tooltip-show-delay="100" fb-tooltip-arrow="rounded">sin dejarla terminar</span>.

- Elena was fourteen years old when she saw ballet for the first time on television. Since that day, she wanted to be a dancer.
- Fernando didn't agree because he always said: "Ballet is very nice as a hobby, but you can't earn money with it." For him, Elena's future was finishing school and working with him in his company.
- Her mother, Ana, understood her because when she was young she also wanted to be a dancer. That's why she signed her up in secret at a ballet school.
- Every afternoon, Elena went to the ballet school to practice. She told her father: "After school, I go to the library to study."
- The most difficult thing for Elena wasn't dancing. It was lying to her father every day.
- When she was eighteen years old, Elena danced very well. The school organized a big show at the theater and Elena had the lead role: she danced alone for ten minutes.
- Ana told him: "A friend has given me two tickets for the theater. Let's go together tonight." Fernando didn't want to go because he had a lot of work, but Ana insisted and in the end he accepted.
- A dancer came out alone to the center of the stage and Fernando couldn't stop looking at her. Suddenly, the dancer turned toward the audience and Fernando saw her. He said: "Is that Elena?"
- Ana told him: "Yes, it's your daughter. The library thing isn't true. I take her to ballet classes five times a week."
- Fernando didn't get angry. He realized how wrong he was: the company was his dream, not Elena's dream.
- The whole audience stood up to applaud, but nobody applauded harder than Fernando. He was standing, with tears in his eyes, and he was shouting his daughter's name.
- Elena said to him: "Dad, I'm very sorry." Fernando hugged her and said to her: "Forgive me, Elena. I'm very proud of you. From today on, I'm always going to support your dreams."
